![]() | Prof. Lizhong ZhengThe Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Lizhong Zheng works in the general area of information theory, statistical inference, data processing, wireless communications, and networks. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University and the PhD degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley. He joined the faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT in 2002 and was the Elihu Thomson Professor before he joined HKUST in 2025. He received the US NSF CAREER Award, AFOSR Young Investigator Award, and the IEEE Information Theory Society Paper Award. He is an IEEE Fellow. He is currently the editor-in-chief for the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory. |
| Prof. Chengwen XingBeijing Institute of Technology Chengwen Xing (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, in 2010. Since September 2010, he has been with the School of Information and Electronics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, where he is currently a Full Professor. From September 2012 to December 2012, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Macau, Macau, SAR, China. His current research interests include machine learning, statistical signal processing, convex optimization, multivariate statistics, array signal processing, and high-frequency band communication systems. |
![]() | Prof. Cheng ZhuoZhejiang University Dr. Cheng Zhuo is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University and Vice Dean of the College of Integrated Circuits. His research interests include VLSI design, electronic design automation (EDA), and AI algorithms and systems. He has published over 200 papers in leading conferences and journals in these areas, earning five Best Paper Awards and seven Best Paper Award nominations. He currently serves or has previously served as an associate editor for journals including IEEE TCAD, ACM TODEAS, and Elsevier Integration, and has served as Chair of the ACM SIGDA East China Chapter. He has also received the First Prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, among other honors. |
![]() | Prof. Yuchong HuHuazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) Yuchong Hu received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Special Class for the Gifted Young (SCGY), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Software and Theory from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2010. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Network Coding (INC) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2010-2012, and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2013-2015. He is now a professor of the School of Computer Science and Technology at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). His research mainly focuses on designing and implementing storage and computing systems in data centers (for cloud, big data, AI and HPC) with high data reliability, high performance and ultra-low cost, mainly based on coding and compression/deduplication theory and techniques. He published about 90 papers, in which more than 30 papers as the first/corresponding author are accepted in conferences FAST (four times), SC, SoCC, ICDCS, IPDPS, INFOCOM, ICPP, ICCD, Cluster and jounrals TOS, JSAC, TON, TIT, TIFS, TPDS. |
